raised at Leh on 01 Apr 1964 by Sqn Ldr A Dalaya VM.

On 13 Nov 1996 the Helicopter Unit was honoured
when the President, Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma the 114 Helicopter Unit with
the President's Colours at an impressive ceremony held at Air Force Station, Gorakhpur.
